What building/zoning permits are expected, not knowing where this is located (profile omits)? What weather will that light duty roof need to withstand?

OP is in Denham Springs, LA - just east of Baton Rouge.  He can expect lots of rain, heat and humidity out the wazoo, and lots of mosquitos.  AC is critical, but roof won't need to withstand any significant snow accumulation.  Far enough from the Gulf coast that hurricanes are not likely to be frequent visitors.

And while we are on the subject of locations not mentioned in profiles - - -

Permits are required if the cost of the project goes over a certain amount. I’m good on everything.

It does get pretty hot and humid down here. It’s been in the mid to low 90’s the past week.
I’ve been pretty busy the past week, but I finished up on the inside of the shop today.
My son painted the outside for me. I painted the inside.
I decided that since I will be spending a lot of time in the shop, I would make it look nice.
Here’s some pics.

I’ve got just about everything in the new shop. Turned a few bowls and made a bunch of bottle stoppers already.
I do need to make some tool racks and set up my bench area and then try to keep it organized.

FREAKING CROWN MOLDING TOO!?  I guess if it's pretty it's easier and more incentive to keep it clean and dustless.  Looks great Lee!
